The Web Application Developer will be responsible for supporting the existing infrastructure as well as developing new technologies. The person must flexible and tolerant and be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment. The web application developer would be doing application and web based development for internal and customer use. Programming, graphic design and database administration are all elements of this position.
Primary Responsibilities
• Gathering requirements and specifications and developing design document for different applications of varying scales
• Maintain and enhance existing web based systems to accommodate changing needs
• Participating in the overall design of programs and applications
• Implementing specific areas of server and client software functionality
• Working with documentation and Engineers to deliver a complete, stable application for internal and external use
• Writing procedure manuals for developed applications
• Develop database-driven web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing
• Development of code to support business process and business requirements
• Test and debug web application code and report results
Skills and Knowledge Required
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets
• Must have a detailed knowledge of PHP
• Must be able to develop on Linux/Windows Platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with database design and use of MySql/MSSql
• Strong Perl scripting abilities.
• Proven experience working with open source packages.
• Quality & deadline driven and a good team player
• Highly motivated with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to complete assigned tasks properly and on time
Experience
• 3+ years demonstrated experience
• BS in computer engineering preferred
